Some photos and notes from our trip to Italy for our 30th wedding anniversary and a chance to escape the Australian summer. History and art describes a wonderful 2+ months.

• We spent a month in Rome, staying in an apartment not far from the Vatican City.
• Then we took the train to Florence where we had an apartment for 4 weeks in the old part of the city.
• Finally, we headed west to Pisa for 5 nights, which also allowed us to visit the beautiful city of Lucca.
